Chad–Burundi: Ambassador Nyamitwe Presents Copies of His Letters of Credence to the Minister of State

N’Djamena, May 29, 2025 — The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Burundi to the Republic of Chad, with residence in Addis Ababa, H.E. Mr. Willy Nyamitwe, officially presented the copies of his Letters of Credence to H.E. Dr. Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul, Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chad.

This ceremonial presentation marks his formal accreditation to the Government of Chad and his official commencement as Head of the Diplomatic Mission of Burundi in Chad.

Following the handover, the Burundian diplomat held discussions with the Chadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, during which they exchanged views on the shared vision of their respective Heads of State — one centered on peace, security, and regional cooperation.

Speaking to the press on this occasion, Ambassador Nyamitwe reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Chad and Burundi. He highlighted that both nations are brotherly countries with common priorities, particularly in the areas of trade, agriculture, and education, where the exchange of experience and collaboration are highly valued.

This new diplomatic milestone reflects Burundi’s proactive foreign policy, aimed at deepening bilateral relations and contributing to regional solidarity.
